– All Academy Challenge

Dear Fellow Classmates and Class Presidents,

The All-Academy Challenge will kick off this year on May 16th.

Below is an email from Dan Quattrini ‘81 of the Foundation’s Development Office respectfully requesting that all Alumni encourage greater participation than ever before in this year’s AAC by all of our Classmates.

I join Dan in that request.

Best always,

Steve Comiskey ‘69</
Chair, COCP

Dear Class Presidents:

Last year was challenging in many ways, but you all stepped up to make a huge impact at the Academy despite what was happening with Covid-19. The midshipman experience and our great Naval Academy continues to benefit from your support.

Last year the All Academy Challenge was postponed to August and you all showed up, BIG TIME!  Results were up 60% from 2019 to 2020 in large part due to the competition between your classes (especially to take that top spot).

This year the event moves back to May.  I’m writing to ask for that same excitement and support so that we can finally BEAT ARMY.

Remember, this is a participation event.  While we have often been competitive when comparing total dollars raised, we have been somewhat behind our sister Academies in participation.  Let’s change that trend in 2021!

We are happy to announce that once again those classes that are on an ACTIVE CLASS REUNION PROJECT will be able to support the project through the AAC.  We are actively working with class leadership in those specific classes on communication to be shared with classmates on how best to make their donation count.

Additionally, if your class has recently embarked on an Alumni Center project, the ability to support that project with your AAC donation will also be available.  There will not be specific class funds listed but all Alumni Center Gifts to this designation will count for class your individual project.  Alumni Center Fund (All Classes)

Thanks in advance for helping make this another successful event.  Attached please find 2020 class results so you know what needs to be done to be the #1 class.  We would love to see another 60% jump in participation.

Go NAVY!  Beat Everyone!
